THE FUTURE OF SUNDRIDGE VILLAGE

The Sundridge Village Community Land Trust Limited held a meeting at St Mary’s Church on 2 November 2021 to which all Sundridge residents were invited. Members of the Parish Council also attended the meeting.

As you are aware the Parish Council has no connection to the Sundridge Village Community Land Trust Ltd which is an independent company set up to consider what might be an appropriate way of developing the village and improving its conditions. It is imperative therefore that the Parish Council remains completely independent to consider the proposals and any planning implications that they might generate and take into account the views and wishes of all residents.

In order to maintain a fully independent Parish Council, the Chair, Cllr John Evans, who was initially involved in setting up the Sundridge Village Community Land Trust Ltd, has withdrawn from participating in any discussions and will be required to withdraw from any further discussions or decisions made by the Parish Council in respect of any proposed scheme put forward by this company

Julian Parkin of the Sundridge Village Community Land Trust Ltd will be addressing the Parish Council on 15 November 2021 and the Parish Council will issue a statement following that meeting.
